Motorized Mechanical Engineering
About this Camp:
| If you have a learner who likes building things and figuring out how things work, they will love this class. Join us as we explore, investigate & solve problems while we learn about the building blocks of mechanical engineering. This exciting engineering class combines LEGO® Education & LEGO® Technic™ materials to explore motorized and self powered action machines by building realistic models. Students working in pairs will enjoy hand-on activities with using LEGO® materials that include levers, gears, wheels, axles & pulleys that incorporate math, science & creativity. Fun action packed motorized models may include: cars, go karts, merry-go-rounds, pulleys, drawbridges, roller conveyor, crane, and more. The high emphasis on building techniques will develop a strong understanding of mechanical principles. Students will also be challenged to solve problems, encouraged to apply what they learn and come up with creative solutions to engineering challenges. |

We offer research-proven technology and science summer day camps for
ages 3-14. We believe learning should be fun, innovative,
challenging and hands-on. Computer Explorers has over 200 camps
throughout Minnesota each summer. We offer 30 different classes/camp
in Video Game Design, Programming, Legos, Robotics, Engineering, and
Film Making. We have been offering computer technology camps and
classes in the Twin Cities for over 20 years, and
30 years nationally.
